چکیده
Acute rejection remains an important problem after kidney transplantation. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent spot (ELISPOT) assay has been investigated extensively and shown promising results as a predictor of allograft rejection. The objective this study was to systematically review analyze the predictive value donor-specific ELISPOT identify recipients at risk for acute Electronic databases were searched studies reporting transplantation outcomes. Odds ratio (OR) calculated, along with standardized mean difference (SMD) cytokine producing-cells between without Pooled estimates calculated using random-effect models. positive cutoff frequencies extracted from each study. From 665 articles found, 32 included in meta-analysis. IFN-? most (30 out studies). Patients pre-transplantation donor-reactive had OR 3.3 (95%-CI 2.1 5.1), 6.8 2.5 18.9) post-transplantation ELISPOT. Diagnostic Performance of Fas Ligand mRNA Expression for Acute Rejection after Kidney Transplantation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
BACKGROUND The value of Fas ligand (FASL) as a diagnostic immune marker for acute renal rejection is controversial; this meta-analysis aimed to clarify the role of FASL in acute renal rejection. METHODS The relevant literature was included by systematic searching the MEDLINE, EMBASE, and Cochrane Library databases. Accuracy data for acute rejection (AR) and potential confounding variables (th...

متن کاملMicrochimerism and Renal Transplantation: Doubt Still Persists
Background: The Presence of donor leukocytes in recipients of organ allograft has been shown even several years after transplantation. However, it remains unclear whether this donor cell microchimerism plays an effective role in allograft acceptance or is simply a consequence of immunosuppressive conditions in recipients. Objective: To study microchimerism in a group of kidney transplant recipi...
متن کاملLate Acute Rejection After Allograft Limbal Stem Cell Transplantation: Evidence for Long-Term Donor Survival.
PURPOSE To describe the clinical presentation and management of late (>3.0 years) acute graft rejection in keratolimbal allograft (KLAL) recipients. METHODS This was a multicenter, retrospective observational case series. Six eyes of 6 patients with ocular surface transplant at a mean age of 36.2 years were seen at 3 tertiary referral centers for acute graft rejection between 2007 and 2013. M...
